CASE STUDY: ESTATE
Forethought, teamwork, effective problem-solving, consummate craft and a zealous attention to client experience distinguish our full-service work on large-scale residential estates. We are dedicated to delivering you the finest sophisticated turnkey properties in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Working closely with you, your architect and key team members, we begin your estate project with preconstruction—mapping out a comprehensive approach for the property, its buildings, landscaping and other amenities.
Skillful communication and coordination ensures that the vast amount of information involved in these projects can be successfully developed, tracked and completed with clarity, productivity and feasibility in mind.
Drawing on a wealth of creative expertise from Dijeau’s leadership, our craftsmen build things right, down to the most subtle and intricate details.
A true mastery of craft is required for these singular, highly-designed, ambitious projects—delivered by our exceptionally talented carpenters and top subcontractors. As your estate’s design evolves we provide mock-ups to confirm constructability and functionality, and to ensure that the work will stand the test of time.
We hold your privacy in the highest regard. As preeminent community members we understand that anonymity can be important, which we readily honor during and after construction, and in the use of finished project photography.
Clients often extend invitations for us to tour select prospects and colleagues through their finished project, and offer to speak to its success. We understand this to be a privilege, are ever appreciative, and avail of it judiciously.
Building this estate entailed a complete renovation to modernize the existing 6,500 sq. ft. house, as well as construction of a new 3,500 sq. ft. addition and 1,200 sq. ft. guest/pool house.
Hardscape and landscaping on the property include a pool, spa and fire pit, outdoor kitchen, and sport court.
In the interiors we crafted custom millwork and steelwork along with the installation of ready-made and custom fixtures. Exterior finishes of glazing, stucco, stone and steel were executed with minimalist detailing.
The entire property has integrated sustainability and technology with distributed audio/video, controlled by a whole-house system; features of the house include a home theater, 27KW solar electric, and 12-zone solar-assist HVAC. The guest/pool house has in-slab radiant heated floors.
